This scan is a routine evaluation of the foetus focusing mainly on growth, gender confirmation, foetal anatomy, amniotic fluid and placenta.

Postnatal Care
Postnatal care or ‘After pregnancy care’ refers to the healthcare and support you receive after delivery. This is an individualized care provided to meet the needs of a mother and her baby following childbirth.
Plans for the postnatal period include:
- Specific plans for managing pregnancy-related conditions when they occur, such as gestational hypertension, pre-eclampsia, thromboembolism, gestational diabetes, postnatal wound care and mental health conditions.
- Details about adjustment to motherhood, emotional wellbeing and family support structures.
- Plans for feeding, including specific advice about either breastfeeding support or formula feeding.
- Plans for contraceptive care

- Menstrual abnormalities, heavy periods.
- Contraceptive management.
- Management of cervical screening problems including colposcopy.
- Early pregnancy complications e.g ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage.

Antenatal Care
Antenatal care or ‘pregnancy care’ refers to the healthcare and support you receive while you are pregnant.
The aims of antenatal care are to ensure that pregnancy causes no harm to the mother and to keep the fetus healthy during the antenatal period. This is done by identifying risk factors from the previous pregnancy and possible complications that may occur at a particular gestational age must be looked for at these visits. The World Health Organisation recommends a minimum of 8 visits during pregnancy.

Endoscopy
Gynaecological endoscopy is a surgical procedure that uses optical
instruments specially designed to help diagnose and manage
gynaecological disorders and pathologies.
