Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist
Dr Simon E E Emvula is a specialist obstetrician and gynecologist and a women’s health advocate. He is passionate about providing the best holistic care to all his patients and find travelling the journey of pregnancy with his patient a privilege. He obtained his undergraduate medical degree from the Latin American School of Medicine (Cuba) in 2013.
He did his medical internship at Windhoek Central Hospital Complex where he developed the love and passion for women’s health. In 2015 After the Internship training, Dr Emvula joined the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Windhoek Central Hospital as a medical Officer.
In 2018 he started a specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of The Witwatersrand, attached to Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital and Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital. In December 2021 he obtained a Fellowship of the College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of South Africa, as well as a Master’s degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa.
He also holds a Bachelor in Endoscopy from the European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (ESGE) and GESEA Minimal Invasive Gynaecological Surgeon Certificate (MIGS Certificate) Level 1 and Level 2 Accredited by the European Academy of Gynaecological Surgery (EAGS).
Although he practices both obstetrics and gynaecology, Dr s Emvula has a special passion for Maternal and fetal medicine and he is an accredited sonographer by the Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF).
Dr S Emvula is a registered member of the FMF (Fetal Medicine Foundation), ISUOG (International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology), SASOG (south African society of Obstetrician and Gynecologist), and ESGE (European Society of Gynecology Endoscopy).
